understanding and appreciation of their country and those who helped make it a land of
freedom and opportunity.
THE BOOKS The Girls of Courage series is being celebrate young girls as heroic characters in adventure roles normally assigned to male personalities.
All of the story plots in the series have the trappings of a good mystery and spy novel: intrigue, action, conflict, suspense and drama. The stories also convey a sense and appreciation of what it was like to be a young girl and alive in earlier times. It is hoped that the young readers of this series will identify with these heroines and see something of themselves and their potential in them.
