| The above knit outfit can be
one piece as this one is, however, you can purchase just
the shirt alone. Always use "long sleeve"
shirts or tops as the doll's arm half-way above the
elbow is cloth and looks better covered. You can
always cut the shirt/top sleeve off but not
as short as a short sleeve. Necks are usually large for the dolls as a size 12 month neck is shorter and fatter than the dolls; however, when you purchase a knit shirt/top as seen above, it stretches very easily and then retains it shape. |
The little tights seen above look adorable stuffed in the shoes with the little jumper on the top right as the finishing touch for this ensemble. Stretch fabrics are extremely good for cos- tuming your little girl or boy. The same size overalls should fit your boy. The length for long pants are sometime a problem. Many times if you purchase larger sizes, they are longer but not necessarily wider. Try them on first as you would for your own child. The same type shirt for your little boy doll as for your little girl doll. | WHERE TO BUY? K-Mart - Target - Wal-Mart - All of Meme's outfits were purchased from this type of store. Take your doll into the store and watch the head's turn--WHAT FUN!!! We needed a shoe size one time and I carried the leg only into the store--What Stares!!! YARD SALES ARE GREAT! WHAT SIZE TO BUY? Dress/Outfit All three items above are Size 12 months. If you keep the information on the left in mind, you should not have any problem.

Socks/shoes -
Meme wears a Size 1 Shoe.
As far as the socks go, Meme is wearing (not shown) Size
0-6 mo. white crew socks from Sears.
Targets have them as well. Hat - The hat was purchased at the same place as everything else so I could get matching Sesame Street items. It is Size Small from the baby department. |
