DOLL TIPS

Suggestions on How to Take Care of Your Dolls

TIP OF THE MONTH (Collection)

When cleaning Jerri Doll Vinyl, use regular rubbing alcohol.  Dip a clean cotton ball into alcohol and lightly wipe over surface of face.  DO NOT SCRUB.  The alcohol will evaporate and you will have a nice clean surface.

This technique can be applied to all Jerri Doll's vinyl.

PROTECTION

If your doll has a dark or rich colored costume, separate the fingers/hands from resting on the fabric over a long period of time as the vinyl will pick up the fabric color.  We ship protective hand covers with our dolls wearing these fabrics.

SUNLIGHT PROTECTION

Never leave your dolls in bright sunlight nor under lights in a display cabinet for a long period of time.  The clothing will surely fade and there is no way of repairing the fade out.

EYELASHES

We rarely have a problem with the eyelashes, but unfortunately it can happen.
Needed for repair is a small amount of SOBO glue, purchased at any craft store, and a tooth pick.
Apply a little (small amount) of glue on the tooth pick and push it under the upper eye lid much like an eye liner except at the bottom of the upper lid.

Using the tooth pick, press the lash  up as far under the eye lid as it will go. It will not go very far under but, more or less, right up against the lid. As you are pressing down on the eye lash with the tooth pick, the tooth pick releases from the lash easier if there is glue on the tooth pick. Even though it shows white, when it dries, it is clear. Once the glue "starts" turning clear, take your fingernail and push the glue up to the lash. This gets rid of the glue on the eyes.

This should take care of those pesky lashes once and for all.
